We have!
We are Hotsy Totsy, a group of young musicians from the Bay Area that get off on genre-bending covers of your favorite songs. Though steeped in the spontaneity and vitality of jazz, we’ll never hesitate to embrace earworms from the top 40 and beyond. We combine the two into a unique aesthetic that’s perfect for getting people to sing along and jump on the dance floor in any context!
Hotsy Totsy is comprised of the following performers:
- Rose, Female lead vocalist
- Nelsen, Acoustic guitar
- Chel, Double bass
- Jason, Sax (alto, tenor, soprano), Clarinet, Flute / Backup vocals
- Ben, Drums
The 5 piece band plays a variety of music styles - all played acoustically:
- Gypsy Jazz / Jazz Manouche / French Musette Favorites (in the style of Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli, Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Maurice Chevalier, Charles Aznavour, Charles Trenet)
